The project consisted of a complete renovation of the old 118,000 SF Hillcrest Hospital to a new City of Waco Police Department Headquarters. The 11 stories of interior demolition and new construction included new mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler and plumbing systems throughout. Interior renovation included final finish out of administrative areas, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, conference rooms, computer rooms, investigation rooms, interview rooms, training rooms and a dispatch room. The project included adding a new 2nd floor pedestrian bridge from the existing building to the existing adjacent parking garage. Interior finishes included ceramic tile, VCT, carpet, visual display boards, mini-blinds, bullet resistant panels and hurricane shutters. Exterior site work included demo of an existing asphalt parking area replaced with new concrete sidewalks and decorative flatwork. Final site work included fencing and gates, flagpole, keystone retaining wall, ramp handrails, parking striping and signage.
