Canyon Falls Amenity Center 1

Owner: NASH Eland, LLC

Architect: Callison, LLC

Project Location:   Town of Northlake

The Canyon Falls Amenity Center 1 project is located on a 6.5 acre site within the Canyon Falls Development in the town of Northlake Texas. The project serves as a community center for residents of the development and consists of a 6,851 SF Lifestyle Building, 2,695 SF Pool Building, Swimming Pool, and outdoor leisure areas. Together the buildings, swimming pool, and landscaped areas provide residents with an inviting and comfortable place to gather within the community.

The Lifestyle Building includes an Exercise Room, Locker Rooms, Offices, Kitchen, Covered Terrace, and a fully furnished Club Room with a bar area, billiards, TV’s and seating. Constructed using a combination of structural steel and structural timbers, the facility appears rugged with a modern layout. The plaster and natural stone façade is paired with a metal panel roof, exposed steel, and stained wood making up the building envelope. Large spans of storefront glazing let in plenty natural daylight to the gathering spaces. Stained tongue and groove wood ceilings are used throughout most of the building along with polished concrete floors. Tile floors and walls in the locker room and restroom areas transitions to rubber grid flooring in the fitness areas. Stained millwork and solid surface countertops are consistent in all areas of the amenity center. Fire Suppression has also been utilized in the building’s design.

Included in the Pool Building is a Covered Terrace, Snack Bar, large Storage Area, and Men’s and Women’s Restrooms. The building’s construction also utilizes both structural steel and structural timbers. The exterior and interior finishes of the building are consistent with building materials used for the adjacent Lifestyle Building.

The 4,616 SF Swimming Pool encompasses an ADA accessible wheelchair ramp, tanning ledge, infinity edge, decorative fountains, and aquatic lighting. Surrounding the pool is a deck of integral colored and acid etched concrete, stone site and retaining walls, site furnishings, decorative outdoor lighting, and custom stainless steel railings. Ameristar Montage pool fence provides security when the pool area is not in use. The decorative sidewalks are laid out in a jagged pattern and weave throughout the 6.5 acre site. Multiple types of sod, shrubbery, and trees are used for the landscaping, which is fully irrigated by well water located on site.
